The long way around

I started later than most

I didn't grow up as a competitive athlete. I started my endurance journey in my 40s, completing my first sprint triathlons in 2012. And in 2025, at the age of 60, I crossed the finish line of my first 100-mile ultramarathon. Those experiences shaped my belief that you are never too old to start, grow, or expand.

Endurance isn't reserved for the young — it's a lifelong tool for strength, confidence, and healthy aging.

Why I coach

I've lived your week

I spent years working 40–80-hour weeks while training for races. I know what it feels like to juggle deadlines, long days, family responsibilities — and still try to fit in the miles. The early mornings. The late-night workouts. The fatigue. The constant negotiation between ambition and real life.

I became a coach because I know firsthand how transformative endurance training can be — especially for people balancing demanding careers, families, and a desire to accomplish next-level athletic goals.

How I coach

Maximize the time you actually have

You don't need endless hours or a perfect schedule to reach the finish line. You need structure, intention, and a coach who understands the realities of your life. My approach is built around eliminating unnecessary workouts, focusing on the key sessions that actually move the needle, and building a plan that fits your real life — not an idealized one.

Whether your goal is a sprint triathlon, an Ironman, a 5K, or a 100-mile ultramarathon, I work with you from a place of "been there, done that, got the T-shirt."

    I coach with a deep respect for the realities my athletes face — careers, families, energy, age, injury, life.

    A great plan is a relief, not a burden. It removes the daily ‘what should I do today?’ tax.

    Training that supports healthy aging beats training that breaks you down for one PR.

    I bring the same discipline I used managing enterprise IT programs to your race plan, your data, and your communication.
